OVERVIEW
The CT-24-D4F(LE) is an advanced portable GPS/GSM vehicle and asset tracker specially designed for long battery operating time and low wireless data usage.
The 'Power Save' mode turns off the GPS receiver and GSM modem during idle periods, when the GPS auto report interval is set to longer than 2½ minutes and also when the vibration sensor is configured.
The 'LE' firmware has a special feature which adjusts the GPS position update rate dependent on whether the CT-24-D4F(LE) is stationary or moving. This optimized GPS update rate feature can significantly reduce the number of GPS position updates transmitted over the wireless network when the CT-24-D4F(LE) is stationary, thereby reducing the wireless carrier data usage.
The CT-24-D4F(LE) contains flash memory for 'store and forward' data logging which allows the tracker to continue to collect GPS reports even when out of wireless GSM signal coverage. The stored GPS reports are automatically transmitted when the GSM signal is restored.
The high GPS and GSM receiver sensitivities allow the CT-24-D4F(LE) to function under the dashboard in a vehicle without any external antennas. In addition, the CT-24-D4F(LE) provides a set of open I/O ports which can connect to an external magnetic reed switch accessory.
