Robertson McClung among the 504 brand-new Fellows named in December, 2010, becoming a member of a field of eight additional Dartmouth experts to have earned the distinction. Barlowe, professor of biochemistry, was recognized for distinguished contributions to the field of proteins and lipid trafficking, especially for elucidating molecular mechanisms of vesicular transport between endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complexes.
Wilkinson initially became interested in health care disparities for adults with disabilities after interacting with her first I/DD individual twelve years back as a family physician. She entered a two-year fellowship to explore the amount of federal government support of I/DD study and became a member of the faculty at BUSM. She has since received a National Malignancy Institute award to review mammography in females with intellectual disabilities, conducted principal data collection for analysis into the insufficient details on adults with I/DD in nationwide data sets and led three annual teaching conferences for doctors who care for adults with I/DD. ‘It is very moving to end up being honored by the AAIDD in this manner,’ said Wilkinson, who’s also a family group medicine physician at Boston Medical Center.
